3 Bathroom Faucets from GROHE Take Home Awards
I recently discovered our friends at GROHE won distinctions at the annual Perspective Awards sponsored by international architecture and design magazine, Perspective. Personally, I agree with Perspective’s perspective and think these have aesthetically intriguing, functional, and fun features.
Four of their faucets won awards, three of which were for the bathroom:
- Digital Collection
- Veris
- Eurocube
The Digital Collection scored the top prize, the “Trophy”, in the Product Design Bathroom category. Who doesn’t like the idea of remote controls? This wireless Digital Controller has a textured facade so soapy wet hands won’t worry about dropping it. There’s also an illuminated LED ring that gives instant visual representation of water temperature. Insert some Star Trek-like technology into your bathroom.

The Veris line was inspired by a joystick (for young ones, this was one of the original video game controllers, which was way pre-dates Wii). The lever is smoothly rounded, which invites touching and playful interaction. Who knew faucets could be so much entertaining?

Eurocube is unique in the GROHE collection as it’s the first to offer “true square” design. In addition to zero rounded or cylindrical aspects – this is designed for the more linear leaning homeowners - the wash basin faucet has a minimalist spout with a slanted underside aerator to allow was the perfect flow.

Congrats to our friends at GROHE!
All of these bathroom faucets will be available in Canada in 2012.
