In its efforts to promote the long-term growth of the insurance brokerage system and its members, the IBAS promotes values that include advocacy, professionalism in customer service, consumer choice, member support, and brokerage system development.
In addition to its efforts to develop and uphold the insurance brokerage system and its members, the IBAS also works to ensure that all consumers receive professional service that upholds appropriate standards of ethics and privacy.
The IBAS’ Commitment to Privacy describes how consumer confidentiality and protection is a fundamental part of the Association’s operations. The IBAS advocates its 10 Principles of Privacy, a list of 10 principles that are designed to protect the consumer and include: accountability, clear communication, client consent, fair and lawful information collection, accuracy, and client information safeguards.
