The British Columbia Institute of Property Inspectors (BCIPI) represents Certified House and Property Inspectors across British Columbia. You will recognize these highly qualified inspectors by their professional titles and designations, Provisional Certified House Inspector – CHI(P), Certified House Inspector – CHI, and Certified Property Inspector - CPI. These professionals are regulated by the *Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC), an association of 9,400 technology professionals in BC mandated under provincial statute to protect the public interest.
* According to the Business in Vancouver ASTTBC is the 8th largest professional association in British Columbia.
BCIPI provides our certified inspectors with professional upgrading and updating opportunities in order that they can meet ASTTBC’s stringent requirement for continuing professional development. BCIPI members have access to ‘Good Practice Tips’ that emphasize fair and honest service to their clients. BCIPI encourages the CHI(P), CHI and CPI to educate their clients on what is not covered by a visual home inspection and components of the home that could be better served by a specialist in that particular area – as conditions may dictate. You are in good hands with a BCIPI inspector.
When you engage a CHI(P), CHI or CPI you are hiring a professional who is bound by the ASTTBC’S Code of Ethics and high standards of professional practice. As a consumer looking for a highly qualified and ethical inspector you can count on a CHI(P), CHI or CPI for your inspection needs.
