What is casaGURU?

casaGURU is a free web community that connects homeowners with fellow homeowners and local house experts, on all house topics.

Our website, www.casaGURU.com, contains a directory of 20 types of properly trained, licensed and insured professionals and offers 1000s of articles, blogs, photos and videos to help homeowners make “smarter” decisions about their homes.

casaGURU reaches millions of homeowners each month through the casaGURU Partner Network.

What does casaGURU mean?

“Casa” means house in Spanish while “guru” refers to a teacher, expert or leader. Put together casaGURU means "house expert" and refers to the fact that every professional listed on casaGURU.com has been screened for proper levels of training, licensing and business insurance.

Isn’t every home service professional a "GURU"?

We would hope so, but in fact there are a lot of “shoddy” professionals that take advantage of homeowners today. Only accredited home service professionals that are members of recognized associations, have proper insurance coverage, and business licensing are invited to join casaGURU.   

Through our technology and a strict verification process, the casaGURU website only connects homeowners with accredited house experts.

If the professional does not meet all of our standards, they can’t join the community. If they don’t abide by the casaGURU Code of Conduct, then they removed from the community and prevented from joining again.

What can I learn about each "GURU"?

We provide detailed profile pages on each house professional and the information we have researched and verified - which can include information on their education, training, qualifications, licensing, insurance coverage, and both homeowner ratings and professional reviews - so that homeowners can make more educated decisions about which professionals they hire.

What types of professionals can be found on casaGURU?

There are 20 different types of home service professionals that can be found on casaGURU – home stagers, interior designers, contractors, home inspectors, and realtors, just to name a few.

Can homeowners join the casaGURU Community for FREE?

YES! All the content and services are completely free. We welcome all homeowners or people that want to be homeowners to join casaGURU the casaGURU Community.

Does casaGURU guarantee the services of each "GURU"?

No. casaGURU is purely an educational resource for homeowners and is filled with useful information about home service professionals to make hiring decisions less risky and easier.  Each home service professional found on casaGURU is an independent business that a homeowner may or may not choose to contract for services. casaGURU is not an agent of and does not recommend any individual business found on casaGURU. It does not guarantee the services of any business and advises homeowners to always perform due diligence before hiring and take steps to minimize the risk of hiring any professional. 

What type of house advice can I get on casaGURU?

Homeowners can find a vast quantity of educational articles, blogs, photos and videos as well as connect with experts and other homeowners to learn about home décor & design, remodelling & renovation, finance & insurance.
